The Flow State: When the Hands Do the Talking
After the usual chaos, today was the kind of “normal” I’ve been craving. I hit my Glow-Getter routine, caught my stride, and spent the rest of the day watching people literally transform on my table. There is nothing—and I mean nothing—better than that.
Cracking the Subconscious Code
The day started with a new client. You know that feeling when someone is curious, but their body is just… on guard?
She was feeling all these new, “weird” sensations, and I got to show her exactly how defensive her subconscious was being.
When the nervous system has been protecting someone for a long time, the body often holds tension automatically. Muscles brace, breathing becomes shallow, and the brain stays in protection mode.
But then came the shift.
She finally let go.
When a client trusts you enough to drop that armor, that’s when the real magic happens. My hands started “hearing” what her body needed, and we got to work. When the nervous system moves out of defense mode, the body finally allows deeper tissue work without fighting it.
The Scalp Whisperer & the Microneedling Win
Next up was a 90-minute head spa with microneedling.
The scalp is one of the most nerve-dense areas of the body. When you combine slow scalp work with facial microneedling, you’re not just stimulating collagen—you’re also activating the parasympathetic nervous system, the part responsible for rest, repair, and healing.
About halfway through the session I could literally see the shift happen. Her tissue softened, her breathing slowed, and the tension just… melted.
If you’ve ever watched someone’s nervous system move from guarded to completely relaxed, you know exactly what I mean.
She got off the table convinced she’s buying sessions for all her friends—because let’s be real, it’s about so much more than just collagen.
It’s a full nervous system reset.
From Tears to Dance Parties
The energy stayed high with my next regular.
Emotional release during bodywork is actually pretty common. The body stores stress, tension, and sometimes even memories in the tissue. When those areas finally release, emotions can surface.
We went from a tearful release (the good kind!) to straight-up singing and dancing while I massaged her.
Healing doesn’t always have to be quiet and serious.
Sometimes the nervous system resets and suddenly there’s room for joy again.
Sometimes it turns into a literal dance party.
The House Call Hero
I ended the workday visiting a long-term couple.
She almost canceled because of a headache, but I talked her into trying Reiki instead.
Reiki works with the body’s energy pathways and helps calm the nervous system. When the nervous system relaxes, circulation improves and muscles stop clenching—which is often what drives tension headaches.
By the time we were done, her whole upper body had released, the headache was gone, and she was absolutely glowing.
The Home Front
I got home to find Evan had actually done the dishes (win!) and had a friend over.
We got his first methylcobalamin dose in today, so I’m really excited to see how that supports him.
Of course, the classic mom-life reality check hit when I realized Parker hadn’t been fed. Despite the alarms and reminders, Evan’s brain just didn’t click—so I took care of the poor baby dog, grabbed some Jersey Mike’s for the crew, and now I am officially off duty.
Current vibe: Curled up, eyes heavy, and ready for Virgin River.
Today was a freaking win.
